John Powell "JP" was born and raised in a musical family. He had an instrument in his hand almost before he could walk and learned the love of good harmony vocals from his mother. JP took to the stage at an early age with his mom and dad and has played for many audiences from churches and retirement homes, to dance halls, fairs, and festivals.
JP has been playing fiddle for over 40 years and is a Pennsylvania State Fiddle Championship- level fiddler from the mid 90's. He has opened for many country greats including David Frizzel, Ty England, Ken Mellons, Darryl Singletary, and Charlie Daniels.
JP's favorite fiddle is a family heirloom but on stage he plays a classic Fender 4-string electric fiddle through a Fender acoustic amplifier.
JP is the worship leader at his church and sings in a Southern Gospel Quartet.
